KICKBOXING FUNDAMENTALS: Basic Kickboxing Techniques

In this video Coach JD shows some fundamental kickboxing techniques. Starting at the basic stance and presenting the basic details for the first two punches, the jab, and cross. Then moving on to the first two kicks in basic kickboxing training as well as within a fitness kickboxing routine. Finally, JD gives us a couple combinations that you can work with.

    Hello I’m not sure what fighting sport to start with I’ve already done a bit of taekwondo but I can’t take anymore

    Great video. I like how you explain how the foot pivots when doing round kicks. I didn’t know that was why my knee was hurting. My instructor told me to turn my foot but never explained the dangers of keeping the foot forward. THANK YOU!

    also for anybody shadow boxing…with no punching bag. Do you think it is a good idea to have a mirror to see what you are doing?
