Should I Use CBD Oil? What is it?

CBD stands for Cannabidiol. It is becoming increasingly popular for use in the treatment of arthritic pain. The surgeons discuss the use of CBD oil. It can be ingested or applied topically. There is little evidence available in the literature regarding efficacy at this point, however, more studies are being performed. The risk of addiction appears to be low. Anecdotally there appears to be some benefit for some people when using CBD oil in the treatment of arthritic pain.

I have a small CBD business in Massachusetts USA. I find it very useful for many different ailments. Of course ,prepared and used properly. I make bath bombs so I can literally soak in it. I have scoilices, DDD, neuralgia. …I’m like Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, pre and post bath.

Can someone who takes 100 micrograms of fentalpatches (due to vehical accident) take CBD oil for the pain? Its because he eventually has to go for hip replacement and is in ALOT of pain even with the patches.

Good morning! I was cruising YouTube for info on how take CBD oil and came across your channel. How have I missed you? I instantly fell down the rabbit hole after subscribing, so much so, that I will have to change my chiro appointment for after work rather than before.
Loving all the info about plant based diet, which I know first hand lowers BP, and cholesterol.
I am turning 64 this year, I have a repetitive job in which I do on average 1000-1200K squats and lift (2 lbs at a time) up to 14000 lbs per shift. I have been doing this job (loving it) for 5 years now. It is the reason I started taking the oil recently, first capsules, now drops, and have noticed a significant improvement for relieving joint pain.
Please continue making these, they are very enjoyable. I am also an early riser, 3:15, sleeping in is 4:30. You look like my co workers, normal. 😁

And then there’s those of us who have an allergy to the common Pollins, tree, grass,… you get my point… Also allergic to dogs cats and anything fluffy and cute so you know my quality of life is just perfect. So not only do I suffer with pain and allergies. They’re worsened when there’s a cute animal that I would like to pet near me

I’ve used CBD oil for a few years now for A.S. Arthritis because all the anti inflammatory drugs upset my stomach…. I was never sure if it was working until I went on vacation in the states where I couldn’t take it with me after 3 days I was maxing out on tramecets/dol …… this has happened to me on 2 vacations now …so for me it works ….. my only complaint is that nobody knows anything about it and when they do say they know my B.S . Detector goes off …… thanks for the video and your time …good job

As a former chronic user of Marijuana, (habitual for better part of 15 years), having dropped the habit almost 8 weeks ago, I, currently have issues with lack of sleep. 2 weeks ago, I began using cbd cream (applied to the soles of my feet) it seems to help some of the time where I am able to sleep (up to 8 hours) one out of 7 nights. No, it does not make me high. I remain tired most of the day. I plan on exploring gummies in the future. A tired retiree of 4 + years.

I’ve been using CBD oil for years. It has helped me so much with my pain and inflammation. I get mine from eden’s herbals.

  19. Mick on May 14, 2022 at 7:55 pm

CBD did not help my Spasticity pain. I go for Botox injections every 3 months and it works. I did try THC (3 pills) and it took all my pain away but I got "body" stoned. I will get a Low Back MRI and see doctors that do the nerve ablation. That is my next step in treating this disease.

  20. Scott P. Bushey on May 14, 2022 at 7:56 pm

I don’t know if it has been mentioned but it is surely important to address the particular pathway CBD uses in the body; if a patient is taking other various medicines, taking CBD can compete, cancelling out the med that uses the same pathway. This can be dangerous in many cases. For example, both Zebeta and CBD use the same path; if u use CBD oil and take it as the same time or close, u may be cancelling out the benefit of your BP med.

Love your videos! I’m in my 60s and from time to time, my hip joint is painful. It started really acting up a few months ago–I found it hard to bear weight on my hip. Because I have high blood pressure, I’m supposed to stay away from ibuprofen and other NSAIDs, so I bought CBD topical cream at our local dispensary (I’m in California). Within a half hour, the pain had disappeared. My primary care doc thinks there’s a placebo effect with CBD, but all I know is that my pain disappeared.

My wife has been suffering with pain and insomnia for quite a while now. Someone suggested CBD oil for both pain relief and sleep so decided to ask our family doctor about getting a prescription for it. She did arrange for a prescription but the drug store called to ask if we had a drug plan as it was quite expensive. Almost fell on the floor when told it was $2,000. Needless to say we had to pass on that. Don’t know why it was so expensive as our local pot shop sells it for a fraction of that cost. Haven’t tried it yet but soon.

ive been a heavy cannabis user for more than 40 years. i recently quit cannabis altogether and was having some difficuly with my dopamine/serotonin balance. i thought i might benefit from CBD but i soon found out that its like an alcoholic replacing real beer with non-alcoholic beer. it really pisses of your brain and just makes things worse. my advice is to stay away from cannabis altogether its not worth it in the end when you finally have to stop using it for whatever reason. its like trying to snort talcum powder when you’re a coke addict its just going to make you angry and depressed and prolong your withdrawal symptoms.

Can CBD help balance potential female hormonal imbalances? Last year I had really painful reoccurring bouts of ovarian cysts, and never went through any treatment as it wasn’t recommended. On occasion mild pain can come back, so I’m hoping CBD can anchor me further into better wellness and full recovery.

You two are awesome! CBD oil is free if you grow it yourself. I use CBD oil for joint pain and experience some relief. I don’t like taking pain medication so I use cannabis exclusively. I’m a big fan of THC too…. 🙂

It is a sad commentary on our society that people think doctors with a personality and I delightful sense of humor are wasted. I think both of you would’ve been delightful students in my class. I am a great lover of sarcasm and jokes in learning. (Not sarcasm about the kids but about the topic). Dr. Brad I have always thought you would’ve been one of those students in one of my AP classes that I was always sure had done something I just never could figure out what it was. It’s something about your smile. Stay safe and keep making videos

I just recently started taking CBD oil. Low dose. Within a few days I noticed a big difference in the following: Less pains, able to get OFF my sinus pills, anxiety, I am able to think more clearly, Sleep better. Reduces body swelling, calms my heart palpitations, my skin is becoming clearer, I DO NOT come down with colds, keeps my allergies almost down to zero if not gone.
But that is just within the first bottle of CBD oil.
It has helped my Husband with a lot of things as well. Sleep apnea, High blood pressure, arthritis pain, and concentration!
I highly recommend that you talk to a holistic or MD in choosing what is good for you to start at.

My daughter has Anxiety with peer interactions during high school. She was diagnosed with Broad Spectrum Autism, high functioning. I do not have a history of anxiety. Both of us took it. At first, it seems to help with sleep. But, then honestly in my experience, I cannot seem to tell the difference. But, the cost is too expensive to sustain for a long term. So, we both stop using. We both use melatonin for sleep still in the last few years. For anxiety, psychotherapy helps her a lot. Thank goodness for health insurance. Currently, my girl is Sophomore in college, double major in Accounting and Finance. She is on the President’s list. For her, psychotherapy has been very helpful, because she knows that she is taking to an expert, but also is in neutral setting. Her Pediatric therapist is so patient and kind, and she gets to ventilate and etc…But, the positive support is first from us, her parents and the community (therapist, school/university). Her therapist even said that she will keep her on as a patient beyond 18. Also, she utilizes the University’s counseling support when her something is bothering her and she cannot get an appointment. Schools from elementary-college have been helpful in providing support. But, effective support comes first in the home, and then in the community. People measure success as accomplishments/achievements. Ultimately, success really is from a healthy mind and body?.

  48. Rick Norwood on May 14, 2022 at 8:31 pm

Here is my opinion first followed by facts.
My (Full Spectrum edit) CBD 50mg soft gels are worth their weight in gold!
I am an obese 75, a disabled vet, Insulin dependent diabetic with neuropathy up to my knees, with COPD, both knees are replacements, but my only pain that I could not deal with comes from two fully torn shoulder rotator cuffs requiring reverse surgery, with no guarantees other than a year of miserable pain and inconvenience during recovery. No way! For over a year I got shots in each shoulder as I had done with my knees pre-surgery. The injections were barely adequate and over time became more frequent and ineffective.
When younger I was no stranger to weed and never found it addictive any more so than having a favorite brand of toothpaste. I knew that many people claimed MJ helped with pain, but I did not want to go back to getting high at this stage of life, especially on a 24/7 basis. As I read that CBD lacked nearly all of the THC, enough to be legally sold over the counter and online, and claimed enviable effects such as relaxation, no known drug interactions, etc,, but most of all to be a natural anti-inflammatory, I decided I had nothing to lose by trying it. I am truly one of the luck ones!
I tried the oil (messy), salve (didn’t work much), capsules (much better), and finally soft gels that are by far my favorite delivery method. I began taking them with concern for the lack of dose recommendations (a legal thing) starting at 25mg daily. Notably my shoulder pain was reduced to the point that I stopped going for shots. By trial and error I have now found that a 50mg gel each day is perfect to maintain pain free shoulders if I DON’T use them for much more than very light duty. Hauling the trash can to the street for example can give me achy shoulders and difficulty sleeping. So I double down on gels for the that 24 hour period. If I really abuse them, I also add an Ibuprofen although I am switching over to Tylenol due to negative things I’ve read about the former. Once I break the pain cycle in a day or two at most, my regular one a day gel is adequate again. I can always feel my shoulders being weak, fragile and a willing host to pain, but in contrast to so many others….essentially pain free.
CBD does not work for everyone, but that is no reason not to try it yourself after consulting with your doctor of course. The company I use, Lazarus, seems to be as good as any but what’s more offers a huge Veteran’s discount just by emailing them a copy of your DD-214 or Veteran’s ID. I do not consider this a plug for them although in my opinion they certainly deserve one, but just another fact to close this, my narrative of personal, borderline miraculous CBD benefits.
In closing with the most pertinent fact: Over two years now without shots or chronic pain!
